The painting crew for our little yellow house
We're making progress on updating things in our little bungalow as we slowly move in over the next month or so. This past weekend friends joined together for a painting party to freshen up the inside of our home and the week before, we hired painters to do the outside (Butter Up by Sherwin Williams if you're curious :)  I love the way it all turned out!

See below for some pictures of the before and after (we clearly still have some touch ups to do but we're getting there!).  We're also not totally moved in yet but will be by August.  So many thanks to the wonderful friends who made it out for the party; we truly couldn't have done it without you - I hope you liked the snacks!

  1. I love the beadboard in the dining room! And I have those same curtains - but in beige. Great minds think alike!

  2. I love love the curtains and the beige ones are beautiful - great minds indeed! We have the matching shower curtain, too :) Target is dangerous. I also just checked and there are nonstop flights between Baltimore and Memphis. I have no excuse to not come and visit soon!!

  3. Congrats on your new house! It's so cute. Where exactly is it? Message me to give me details! I'm hoping to go to the US in Sept-Nov. So Maria and I will have to check out your new place in person then! Love you!

  4. was the party theme also "jean cutoffs"? ;)

  5. Oh my goodness, Jennifer!! This house is completely adorable! I would love to come see it and finally visit you guys in DC (now MD) sometime. Wedding planning is really keeping me from the travel that I love to do, so I hope to get to DC after September. Have a great summer and good luck with the move-in!

  6. Thank you!! We're excited to have you, Laura! (And Kate & Martha and Monica :):)
